Methodology
This report is based on WellCompare’s listed massage service data.
For this August 2026 data cut, WellCompare reviewed:
- 315 Sydney/NSW published massage businesses
- 5,591 published service-price records
- 5,194 provisional clean records used for draft price analysis
- 1,409 eligible 60-minute records used for headline 60-minute price calculations
- 297 businesses in the clean dataset
- 134 suburbs in the clean dataset
The analysis focused on published business and service records in the WellCompare database.
For headline 60-minute figures, obvious add-ons, invalid rows and sub-30-minute services were excluded from the main median calculations. Median prices were used instead of relying only on minimum or maximum prices.
Service types were grouped using WellCompare’s service taxonomy.
